Car hire Booking Terms & Conditions
When you book a vehicle through H&A you will be asked by our vehicle supplier to agree to the following conditions:
To book your car hire please e-mail us> with your requirments.
An Airport tax of €20.00 will be supported by the supplier.
Baby Seats:May also be supplied on request.The cost for these will be €4.50 per day charged directly to the client maximum €63.00 per rental.
Passenger Insurance:May also be supplied by the supplier.The cost for this will be €4.00 per day charged directly to the client.
Additional Driver:For each additional driver mentioned on the rental agreement there will be an additional charge of €17.00 direct to the client.
Young Drivers:All drivers between 21 and 25 years old must pay directly to the Supplier an additional tax of €3.50 per day.
Roof Racks:Can be fitted to certain cars ( please enquire) for a fee of €5.50 per day with the minimum charge being €16.50 and maximum of €77.00per rental.
To be covered by Insurance,Drivers must be duly mentioned on the Rental Agreement.
The client (whether driver or not)is always responsible for a bail of the amount of €600.00 for Groups A, B, & C,€1.200.00 for Goups D,E,I & J, €1.800.00 for Groups F,G,H & N €2.500.00 for the REMAINING GROUPS-in case of a self provoked accident,in case of damages caused by acts of vandalism,in case theft of the vehicle or of theft of any of its accessories,as long as the driver is unable to identify the guilty party.
This payment must be made upon delivery of the car,in cash(Portuguese or foreign currency) or by credit card.
The referred payment will be refunded to the client at the end of the rental,in case NO accident has taken place,as well as no damages have been caused to the vehicle by acts of vandalism,theft of the vehicle or of any of its accessories.
This situation can only be eliminated with the payment of an insurance of €7.50 per day for group A,B & C €10.00 per day for groups D,E,I & J and €14.00 per day for groups F,G,H & N €18.00 for REMAINING GROUPS.This amount has to be paid by the client when receiving the vehicle.
In case of accident by our car drivers fault taking into consideration Portuguese law insurance companies decline any or all responsibility for that driver of all damages caused to the hired vehicle or to third Parties whenever it is detectd that the driver was driving under the influence of alcohol,Narcotics,Drugs or Toxic products or by insanity of the driver.Also if the client uses the car in sportive competitions,races or challenges,contests,bets,etc.
We also take this opportunity to inform that even if the car's driver is not under the influence of any of the above items but by any means also destroys our car by his own fault we shall not refund any amout for the time left to complete the rental and we only give another car through a large deposit that may cover eventual damages that can be caused to the new car.We would like clients to be well informed about the above situation.
Note:For each delivery or collection outside of our Normal hours AT AIRPORTS a fee of €15.00 will be charged directly to the client.
Even during normal hours,excluding the Algarve,Airports or places where we have offices a fee of €0.50 per kilometer will be charged from our nearest office.
